YOUR OWN GEODES

MINER BUCKET

Includes: 20 Total with a combination of Whole Quartz Geodes,

Mexican Trancas-Quartz-Fluorescent and Quartz Crystals-Druzy-Moroccan.

Geodes are formed through a geological process:

Mineral-laden water fills spaces in igneous or sedimentary rock.

The rock gets spaces from gas bubbles in igneous rock or by tectonic shifts forming cracks in sedimentary rock.

The minerals forming the geode come from ground water or hydrothermal fluids.

Over millions of years, as the water slowly evaporates, it leaves behind minerals that crystallize inside these cavities.

Geodes can form in various types of rock, but most often in volcanic and sedimentary rocks.

Directions

Place the geode into the sock.

Place the sock on a hard surface.

Make sure you are wearing your safety glasses.

Firmly tap the geode with the hammer until it breaks.

Pour the broken pieces of geode from the sock and enjoy the beautiful crystals inside.
